Climate Action Attitudes
Project Outline
An initiative of the Learn Local Family Learning Partnerships Program, the project aims to engage families in practical workshops focused on climate mitigation and adaptation.
Through collaborative efforts with local environmental content experts and service providers, as well as family service organisations, the project intends to create a positive family learning approach. By leveraging the expertise and resources of Bass Coast Adult Learning and Bass Coast Landcare Network, the project will offer workshops covering topics like food production, transportation, household energy, waste management, and climate strategies.
Objectives
Key objectives include:
-
encouraging participation in climate-related family activities
-
fostering partnerships between local service providers linked to the clean economy and family services
-
raising awareness about local adult learning and training options.
Through networking and resource development, the project seeks to empower individuals and organisations to contribute to a clean economy and resilient communities.
Home Learning Packs
We are grateful that Bass Coast Community Foundation has provided funding for take-home learning packs as part of this project.
These packs will include an acknowledgement of country bookmark created by a local First Nations artist, a locally created children's story book, a Boomerang Bag, and kid's sustainable learning activities. The pack also includes information on the clean economy for parents.
