Employable Me
Employable Me is the first of two courses that are designed to assist adult learners to consider and pursue future pathways. Moving On is the companion course to Employable Me.
Employable Me assists learners in identifying their strengths, interests, skills, life stage limitations, and life stage opportunities. It assists them to explore possible pathways to employment or further study.
In this module, learners develop a better understanding of themselves, what they have to offer as employees, and the areas of employment in which they would like to work.
This module is designed to lead to the pre-accredited "Moving On" module but may lead directly into employment or further study as identified by the learners according to their interests.
Topics include:
identifying personal strengths and transferrable skills and relating them to career pathways.
an introduction to studying at TAFE.
initial preparation for job interviews.
understanding the benefits of volunteering in building networks.
developing a personal action plan.
Program length: 30 hours
These materials are aimed at learners working at Level 2 of the Australian Core Skills Framework.

Moving On assists learners to access the job market. In addition, learners are introduced to the requirements of studying at TAFE should they choose to pursue further study. As well as face to face tuition, the course includes presentations by Guest Speakers, including a TAFE Pathways Counsellor and two industry/business representatives.

These skills are embedded within the course content and monitored through the learner workbooks, allowing instructors to track individual growth and development.
LLNED (Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital Literacy) skills are integrated into each topic to support learners at Level 2 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). This ensures that learners are prepared for the demands of the workplace and able to navigate real-world job application processes.

This course is designed to be completed over a total of 80 hours of learning, combining theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Be Work Ready
Be Work Ready - Level 2 is designed to equip students with the key skills needed for gaining employment or preparing to enter the workforce. This course is particularly suited for learners who are actively seeking employment or working toward gaining employment. The course can be delivered as a standalone program or embedded within an existing pre-accredited or accredited course offered by Learn Locals.
Course Delivery Options:
Flexible Delivery: Available in in-person, online, and blended formats to suit various learning preferences.
Delivery Approach: Can be delivered as a group in a classroom setting or in an online environment. Teachers will have the flexibility to adapt and contextualize content to meet the needs of their learners and any vocational requirements if embedded within a larger accredited course.
