BCAL’s Yearly CPR Update course ensures you stay up to date with life-saving CPR skills, as recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC). This short refresher course is essential for anyone whose job, volunteer role, or personal circumstances require current CPR certification.

Delivered by experienced trainers in a supportive, small-class environment, this course focuses on the skills, confidence and quick decision-making needed to effectively respond in an emergency. Whether it’s for the workplace or your own peace of mind, a CPR update ensures you can act fast and correctly when every second counts.

What You’ll Learn:

• How to recognise and assess an emergency situation

• Steps to respond to an unconscious and non-breathing person

• How to perform high-quality CPR on adults and infants

• Use of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators)

• Procedures in line with the latest ARC guidelines

• Legal and workplace responsibilities in delivering CPR

Accredited Unit:

HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

This unit is required to be refreshed every 12 months for many professional and volunteer roles.

Physical Requirement:

Participants must be physically capable of performing 2 minutes of continuous CPR on the ground.
