This nationally accredited First Aid Level 2 course is designed to equip participants with essential skills to provide immediate and effective response to a wide range of medical emergencies. Whether it’s a minor injury or a life-threatening event, knowing what to do—and how to do it properly—can save a life.
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid meets all industry and workplace compliance standards and is aligned with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, community expectations, and current legal considerations.
How to recognise and respond to a wide range of illnesses and injuries
Techniques to preserve life, prevent further harm, and promote recovery
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) using manikins and current ARC protocols
First aid for burns, fractures, bleeding, asthma, anaphylaxis, and more
Effective communication with emergency services
Legal responsibilities and infection control
Participants must be able to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the ground. This is a physical requirement for course completion and national accreditation.
